NIELSEN has released its APRIL 2018 Audio Today Report. Did you know the Quarterly Audio Paper shows that "audio plays a key role in the daily lives of hundreds of millions of consumers. Broadcast radio continues to profoundly enrich the lives of listeners and create value for advertisers."
Despite the many media options availble to listen and watch AM/FM radio continues to have a medium reach 93% of Americans. Would you believe 270 Million consumers listen to the radio each week. Many are still listening in the car which contibutes to a large part of the radio ecosystem. This allows advertisers to start warming their target consumer, they are able to deliver a unique message to the listener.
With the ability to listen online using a mobile phone or tablet and even an laptop has brought about more listeners every week. In fact when compared to NIELSENS's second -quarter 2017 Comparable Metrics Report they found 93% of U.S. Adults 18 and older listen to radio every week.

- The top formats in AMERICA last year were Country (registering a 13.2% share of the national audience) followed by News/Talk - both commercial and non-commercial stations - (12.3%) and Adult Contemporary (8.1%).
